Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about getting started, sessions, privacy, and what to expect. If you do not see yours, reach out to me directly.

Getting Started

I offer virtual psychotherapy for a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, stress and burnout, ADHD, trauma, relationship and family dynamics, and identity, using evidence based approaches tailored to you.

If you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or like something needs to change, that is reason enough to reach out. You do not need a diagnosis or a crisis to start. I can support anyone looking to grow, cope, or simply be heard.

You can reach out to me through the contact form or by phone to set up a free 15 minute consultation. It is a low pressure chance to share what is bringing you to therapy and see if it feels like the right fit.

In your first session, I will get to know you: what is going on, what you are hoping for, and how therapy can help. You will leave with a sense of a plan, not homework.

No. You do not need a diagnosis to benefit from therapy. It is just as valuable for working through a specific problem, making sense of a hard experience, or getting support while things still feel unclear.

Sessions & Logistics

I run standard sessions of 50 minutes. Frequency is flexible. Many people start weekly, then move to biweekly or monthly as things feel more manageable, since there is no fixed schedule that fits everyone.

I hold all sessions virtually over a secure platform, so you can join from wherever feels comfortable and private, anywhere in Ontario.

Find a quiet, private space, test your internet, camera, and microphone ahead of time, and try to log on a few minutes early. Headphones help with privacy if others are around.

Reach out to me as early as possible by email or through the booking platform, so the time can be offered to someone else.

I confirm payment details at booking, and I accept standard payment methods.

I charge $125 per individual virtual session. I also offer a limited number of sliding scale spots for those who need a lower rate, so please reach out and we can find something that works for your budget.

Privacy & Fit

I keep session content confidential and handle it according to the professional and legal standards set by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), with limited exceptions required by law, such as risk of serious harm.

That is completely okay. Fit matters. If it does not feel right after your consultation or first session, there are no hard feelings, and I can offer a referral elsewhere if helpful.

My practice is not a crisis service. In an emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. For urgent support, Ontario's ConnexOntario line (1-866-531-2600) and the 988 Suicide Crisis Helpline are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
